Hours: 12 hours per week; work schedule may include early morning, late evening, weekend and holidays.

Exciting opportunity to join state of the art multi-disciplinary team at Woodburn Place Crisis Care Program, a 16 bed, short-term residential crisis stabilization unit that serves individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders who are in psychiatric crisis. Services include: crisis intervention, individual, group and family counseling, case management, medication management, social detoxification and linking individuals to ongoing mental health, substance use or co-occurring services.
Under supervision and direction of a Crisis Care Supervisor, this position utilizes personal experience and professional training to assist Crisis Care clients in stabilizing their psychiatric crisis and developing coping skills as indicated by the individuals’ intake assessment and service plan. This position assists the team’s primary treatment providers with the provision of comprehensive mental health assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, intensive case management, crisis intervention and stabilization, and support services to persons with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders. Services are provided via individual and group modalities. The position requires the individual to work in a group setting within close proximity of team members and effectively communicate information with the team.
Special Requirements: The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, driving record, a Child Protective Services Registry, and a check with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) to the satisfaction of the employer.
Preferred Requirements: Bachelors degree in counseling, psychology, social work or nursing with a minimum of one year post-degree experience working with adults who suffer from serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders in an intensive treatment group home, hospital emergency department or psychiatric unit, community-based behavioral emergency services, and/or crisis stabilization setting OR Certification as a Registered Psychiatric Rehabilitation Provider (RPRP) registered with the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (USPRA) OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an unrelated field with an associate’s degree in a human services field with at least three years clinical experience OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and certification from the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (USPRA) as a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an unrelated field that includes at least 15 semester credits (or equivalent credits based on a trimester system) in a human services field and at least three years clinical experience.
