Peer Support Specialist
Job Title: Peer Navigator
Friends 4 Recovery is seeking a qualified professional for a part-time position. The qualified person will share his/her lived experience of recovery, and provide support to people with co-occurring health issues.
The Peer Navigator will provide emotional, informational, instrumental, and affiliational support to individuals at the Center. The Peer Navigator will assist in the daily operations of the Center, focusing most of their efforts on one to one person-centered goal setting with Members. The qualified candidate must possess good oral, written, and computer skills. Other duties include the ability to prepare reports, and be responsible for data collection. The qualified candidate will also be expected to provide limited transportation to and from the Center and other venues as needed.
Applicant must be a trained VA DBHDS Peer Support Specialist with no less than two years of active recovery. Must be able to support multiple pathways to recovery. Must have a valid Virginia Drivers License (+5 DMV Record preferred) and available transportation.
$11/hr. 18 hours/week
