Family Support Partners of Virginia, Inc. is currently seeking a talented and dynamic peer support professional to lead, develop, and grow our FSP team.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Parent/Guardian of a youth(s)who were or are involved in the systems of care (school, social services, legal system, residential placement, community and behavioral health providers, hospitalization, etc.) Direct experience of parenting youth under age of 18y with challenging behaviors.
- In a place in their own journey of healing to utilize personal lived experience to support other families
- Effective communication, documentation, and advocacy skills
- Open-minded, forward-thinking, inspirational, collaborative, non-judgmental; able to work independently & within a team.
- Prior experience assisting other families to obtain appropriate services & support for their child/youth & family members.
- Ability to support other professionals with ethical challenges and other peer support needs.
- Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License & access to own vehicle.
- Successful completion of background check.
Hours/Compensation:
- Full-time / non-benefitted
- Salary range $19 – 21 per hour (Salary commensurate with experience)
