VADOC Peer Recovery Specialist Contractor

This PRS position serves District 12 located in Staunton, VirginiaPosition is contracted with limited monthly hours.  This position cannot make more than $10,000 / year.  Hourly wage is $20.00 / hour.

Position Requirements:

·       Released from all supervision

·       Completed the DBHDS PRS Training (72 hours) with proof of certificate

·       Not disqualified from contracting with state government

·       Knowledge on how to complete forms for monthly invoicing

·       Knowledge on how to create recovery plans for individuals being served

·       Professionalism

·       Work Independently

·       Commitment to the position

Preferred Requirements:

·       Certified through the Virginia Certification Board

·       Preferred past experience being in the justice system to provide understanding / mutuality
