MORE CAFES SCHEDULED!!! Medicaid Substance Use Disorder “World Cafe” Sessions.


The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS – Virginia Medicaid) is convening regional “World Cafés” – a knowledge sharing gatherings of individuals working in the substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery field to discuss SUD in the Commonwealth of Virginia. These “World Cafés” will involve a brief presentation on DMAS’ work toaddress SUD followed by several informal conversation sessions in which participants will discuss issues related to SUD treatment including stigma and discrimination, barriers to treatment, community strengths and resources for people who use SUD, and more!

DMAS requests that registration is limited to two to three individuals per agency/organization. We are limited to no more than 50 attendees per session. Preference will be given in order to have a diverse representation of stakeholders.
