    The Recovery Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from addiction and mental health challenges. This position involves providing guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance to clients, helping them navigate their recovery process while fostering a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of behavioral health systems.

    Responsibilities

    Conduct one-on-one sessions with clients to assess their needs and develop personalized recovery plans.
    Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients and encourage self-efficacy.
    Provide crisis management and intervention support during critical moments in a client’s recovery journey.
    Mentor clients by sharing personal experiences and strategies for successful recovery.
    Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
    Facilitate group sessions focused on addiction counseling, mental health support, and coping strategies.
    Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment plans in accordance with organizational policies.
    Stay informed about community resources and support systems available for individuals in recovery.
    Experience

    A background in behavioral health or social work is preferred, with experience in addiction counseling or mental health counseling being highly desirable.
    Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and experience managing crisis situations effectively.
    Familiarity with motivational interviewing principles and mentoring practices to support client engagement.
    Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
    Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a client-centered focus.

    Pay: $16.50 – $22.00 per hour
