Performance Domains: Advocacy Ethical Responsibility Mentoring/Education Recovery/Wellness Support
- Young adult with Lived experience of personally being involved with systems of care as an adolescent (school, social services, legal system, residential placement, community and behavioral health providers, hospitalization, etc.)
- Someone with recent lived experience (within 10 years) of navigating the adolescent behavioral health system as a youth/young adult.
- In a position of own personal recovery and passionate to share hope to other
- Willingness to be transparent by utilizing strategic self-disclosure
- Knowledge of resources in local areas that are relevant to youth
- Effective communication, documentation and advocacy skills
- To complete all required and suggested trainings.
- Flexible scheduling
- Has reliable transportation

Family Support Partners of Virginia, Inc. is a peer support service provider with a focus on supporting parents/caregivers and their youth who are navigating the child behavioral health system in Virginia. We are the only family-run, statewide organization in Virginia providing formal parent & youth peer support.
Our Family Support Partners (FSP) and Youth Support Partners (YSP) are trained in the evidence-based model, High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW), and have served families through this process for several years.
