We are offering a great opportunity for a PRN Peer Transportation Specialist.

 

Responsibilities

Support efforts to reduce the transportation barrier faced by individuals residing throughout GRCSBs catchment area.  This position is responsible for driving the agency’s vehicles, providing transportation for clients to and from agency appointments, programming, and the other care coordination related appointments and activities.  Transportation will be provided to individuals receiving behavioral health treatment. This position will also be responsible for driving for other program-sponsored outings.

 

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Lived experience from mental health challenges and/or substance use disorder.

One (1) year related experience providing transportation services.

Ability to follow GPS and use maps accurately.

Experience and/or training in safe driving practices and general vehicle maintenance.

Working knowledge of basic first aid and medical resources.

Valid Driver’s License with a point balance of -6 or higher.

 

Special Work Conditions

Must have mobility to travel and assist with client’s needs during outings that may include uneven terrain and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift, maneuver and help clients with belongings getting on and off van.  Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of driving.  Frequent, sitting, walking, standing, stooping and lifting independently up to 40 pounds; Occasional lifting up to 75 pounds may be required. Must possess manual dexterity to operate hydraulic wheelchair lift.

 

Will be required to travel within the Greater Reach CSB catchment area.

 

Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection.  Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.

 

Hourly Range

Grade H-C1

$19.55 – $22.00
