About Trillium Center
Established in 2007, Trillium Center is a peer led mental health drop in center dedicated to building community and supporting recovery. For nearly two decades, the center has provided a welcoming space where 25 to 30 members visit daily, often staying for several hours to connect, support one another, and move forward in their recovery journeys.
Position Overview
The Lead Certified Peer Support Specialist plays a key leadership role in maintaining a recovery oriented, peer led environment. This position provides direct peer support to members while also guiding staff, coordinating programming, and helping ensure the center operates smoothly and effectively.
This role is ideal for an experienced peer support professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring others, and can translate ideas into structured, actionable plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct peer support and model recovery oriented practices
- Support, guide, and mentor peer staff to strengthen a positive team culture
- Provide supportive supervision to peer support staff
- Coordinate peer support groups, activities, and daily programming
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for members
- Track program participation and maintain basic program data
- Assist in developing and implementing program ideas and initiatives
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure consistent and effective operations
Qualifications
- Current Certified Peer Recovery Specialist certification required
- Lived experience with mental health and or co occurring recovery
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the recovery field
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of continuous recovery with no relapses
- Experience supervising peer staff required
- Supervisor training required or must be completed within 6 months of hire
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health and or co occurring conditions
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to be insured to drive an agency vehicle
- Ability to pass a background check with opportunity to explain any findings
